Welcome to my Kurt Max Artist and Musician website. This is a showcase and shop for my Rock Art and also music performance Videos.  Creating Rock Art of famous and not so famous rock musicians is a life long passion. Here I offer looks at these original Rock Star Art pieces as well as offering signed and numbered prints.  My love of rock music also spread to being a musician, writer, producer and performer myself. That, combined with my years of video production, have led to creating many music videos.

I was born on Valentine’s Day in Los Angles and raised on Venice Beach California during the turbulent 1960s. On top of that, being the son of a rock album designer and cartoonist meant I was exposed to a unique and colourful environment (to say the least). As a child seeing first-hand how an idea comes out of thin air and then transforms into a finished product seemed like pure magic to me.

By 1980 I was already producing Rock Art myself and playing music professionally. During the 90s, I also became obsessed with video editing and classic rock collecting. This eventually lead to hosting The Kurt Max Show TV program that ran weekly between 1994-1998 in the LA area. Since then I’ve spent considerable time directing and editing music videos as well as re-imagining classic rock footage of my favourite artists.

I work primarily with charcoal, watercolor, pen and ink and digital editing. You can view my Rock Star Art Original Paintings and Art Prints in the art store.

More recently I relocated to England where I spend my time continuing to create new art and music.

I am available for Rock Star Art exhibitions, private commissions (including family or pet portraits), video editing and in store consignment.
